On December 12, 2017, The Konkurrenz Group’s Maurice Stucke participated in the American Bar Association Antitrust Section’s program, “Is Big Data the New IP for Antitrust?” The other panelists were Paul Alan Johnson, Robert J Levinson, and Alexander Okuliar, and Alexander Reicher moderated the program.

Maurice Stucke spoke at the American Bar Association Section of Antitrust Law’s 65th Spring Meeting in Washington DC.

The panel, titled “Competition and Consumer Law Issues with Customer Profiling,” gave an overview of the consumer protection and antitrust issues of Big Data.

Hill B. Wellford of Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP moderated the panel, and the other panelists were David L. Meyer, Morrison & Foerster LLP, Thomas B. Pahl, Acting Director, Bureau of Consumer Protection, Federal Trade Commission, and Lydia Parnes, Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati PC.

Maurice Stucke Speaks at University of Chicago Conference, Is There a Concentration Problem in America?

 The University of Chicago Booth School of Business hosted a three-day conference in March 2017, bringing together academics, regulators, and public intellectuals to discuss one of the most interesting questions of our time: Is there a concentration problem in the United States? The conference cast a wide net, in an attempt to provide a multidisciplinary perspective on the issues.

Maurice participated on the panel, “Is There a Role for Political Antitrust?”

Guy Rolnik, University of Chicago Booth School of Business, moderated the panel. The other speakers were

Maurice Stucke Participates in EU High Level Policy Hearing on Building a European Data Economy

The European Political Strategy Centre gathered a select group of leading international experts, including Maurice Stucke, to provide input to the ongoing public consultation on Building a European Data Economy’.
